Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

Category: Crime / mystery / thriller

From the Back Cover
With a missing girl in the news, Claire Scott can’t help but be reminded of her sister, who disappeared twenty years ago in a mystery that was never solved.

But when Claire begins to learn the truth about her sister, nothing will ever be the same.

This was Liberty’s book for January as part of the #12booksin12months reading challenge.

I chose this as I saw it on a list of books recommended by Stylist magazine….similar to ‘Gone girl’, and ‘Girl on the train’. I read it in a week, which is good for me. It is very dark, very scary. It gave me nightmares! But I kept reading. I can’t actually work out if I liked it or not because it is so full on with drama and detail. If you like a good murder mystery, but don’t mind gore, and full on details it’s worth a read.

  1. Thanks for the review, I used to read a lot of Karen Slaughter years ago, very good American police procedural murder mysteries, I will add Pretty Girls to my, to read list, it will be good to get back into her again as I did like her style.
